You might think that Devil’s Kitchen Geological Interest Area is located among the famous red-rock formations of southern Utah. However, it is actually located in northern Utah, along the Nebo Loop Scenic Highway. The area is sometimes referred to as “mini-Bryce Canyon” because it’s hoodoos are similar to the formations found in Bryce Canyon National Park. The hoodoos form when the loosely compacted soil is eroded into hoodoos and spires.
